(April 24, Geneva): Bust a Move

Sadly on Tuesday it was time for us to break up with Florence and head back to Geneva.  We decided to head back to homebase for an evening to do some laundry and drop off the car since we were going to be traingoers for our journey to gay Paris.

After sorting out our billing qualms, we loaded the car up with all travel paraphernalia and hit the road.  Thankfully the weather on the way back to Geneva was every bit as beautiful as it was on the way to Florence.  The same could of course be said for our karaoke skillz.  Melanie and I enjoyed torturing the boys with a couple of Christmas songs.  If you can't be appreciative of hamburgers you didn't want, then by golly you can stomach some seasonal music in April.

She neesd wiiiiide open spaces.  (Apparently I'm still on the whole lyrics/landscape kick).

Add this to the must-HAR list.

The moutains were still there.

Once we got back to Chateau McClain, we did some laundry, grocery shopping, watching Jake show off some new tricks and Melanie made a fabulous meal of chicken tacos and nachos.  It was a perfectly relaxing evening after a couple days of jam-packed tourist fun.  R&R was just what we needed to gear up for the crazy frenzy of sight-seeing that is Paris.

Something in Italy must have ignited the risk-taker in Jake.  Melanie walked into his room where he was playing contently to find him rocking back and forth on this swinging ottoman WHILE rocking the chair.  At least we know he is a man that can multi-task.

Melanie and I went to the grocery store.  The meat at the grocery store is entirely different than here in the States.  It comes in large bags and it has a picture of what kind of animal it is in the bottom right hand corner.  Word to the wise: the turkey looks like the chicken.  Sometimes that means you get home and start cooking turkey tacos when you meant to do chicken.

Jake led us in a little dance party while Melanie was making dinner.  I can't wait to show this video to his future prom date.

Up next: Paris!
